The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg enjoys a temperate climate without extremes. The sea (some 200 miles distant) has but a moderating influence on the weather, and maritime winds (S-E and N-E) shed a good degree of their humidity before reaching Luxembourg’s borders. The period from May to mid-October is particularly suitable for holidays. While July and August are the sunniest months, you can often experience an “Indian Summer” in September and October. For the turn-of-year celebrations the weather is often dry and cold, and sometimes there’s snow.
